A charming human woman who makes her living as a wandering storyteller and news bringer. With a disarming smile, and the promise of news from afar, or perhaps a rousing story she finds hospitality most places she goes. Armed with a spear and a quick wit Skald uses the latter most times to stay alive and out of trouble.
But Skald is more than she appears! She drew Bjekmir out of his dementia with her words, possibly laden with magic, and then summoned shadowy entities to kill the adventurers that would become the Storm Eaters before disappearing in the darkness of a stormy night, her shimmering eyes last seen over 20 feet off the ground.
The dragon Scalding Rain claims it has encountered Skald, and the mysterious woman told it that it wasn't a dragon, but rather Cyuli of the River cursed to exist in a draconic form. Scalding Rain also claims Skald told it that to break the curse it needs to find its magical axe Grim, which the Ogn Trolls of the Elvish Gardens have stolen.
