Fangir

Fangir is a wild elf scout belonging to the High Bough Tribe, and is loyal to his lord, Berrin Watcher of the High Boughs. While patrolling the northern edge of the Bloodstone Hills, Fangir was captured and crippled (his hamstrings sliced) by a People of the Bear warband led by Arvid Goodeye. Fangir was rescued by a group of daring adventurers seeking audience with the wild elves, and in gratitude he offered them information on how his elusive and mistrustful people could possibly be found.
