Danu

Danu is a wild elf arch druidess, calm as the water she calls sacred, dedicated to finding peace for her people. She was old when Aelvalla fell centuries ago, but her many years have done little to diminish her beauty and vitality. She wears flowing robes of sea-green and is never without her magical silver bowl. She is rarely out of the water she draws power from and prefers to view the world through its reflection rather than directly. As a venerable arch druidess she wields tremendous power, including powerful divination spells and the ability to reincarnate fallen souls into K'Halla elk.

Danu leads a tribe of wild elves in the Bloodstone Hills area. She seeks to create a home for her people underground where they can survive beyond the reach of the black snows that fall through the poisoned boughs of Valdryssil. She calls this subterranean haven Halasmhiral ("great home") and her people Saludin ("those who wait and endure"). In order for Halamshiral to become reality Danu needs an Aran'nen ("Eyes of the Sun"), artifacts that once powered the Elvish Gardens of old, capable of producing enough light and heat for agriculture to be practiced in the sunless depths beneath the earth.
