Firbolg

The Firbolg were created by Chauntea who also had a hand in creating the giants. This is where the idea of Firbolg being related to giants comes from. After creating the Giants Chauntea wanted to create a race that was more gentle in its nature. She imbued the Firbolg with a goodly nature and a code that valued the community and the individual equally. She gave them a love for nature and the forests. She knew that the Firbolg's nature would mean they would have to hide from the other races to survive, so she imbued them with natural magics to help them and their communities hid from the other races.

The Firbolg live mostly in the Tindow Forest, though the other races would never know that. Their mastery of stealth is such that a caravan or hunting party could walk right by a Firbolg camp and they would never notice. The Firbolg are normally only found if they wish to be found.
