Cave Elf
The Cave Elves (Drow) are a divergent branch of elves that split off during the Elven Schism in the years 475 to 500. In many ways the separation while informal existed from the beginning of the Elven race. The Cave Elves originally were followers of Lolth, though under her previous name Araushnee. Her followers were nocturnal in nature. When the elven pantheon split Lolth traveled to the Underdark and her followers followed her. The Cave Elves physiology was warped by the magics of the Schism, Lolth, and the Underdark. They became extremely fair skinned due to a lack of exposure to the sun and their eyes became jet black adjusting to the lowest of lights present in the Underdark. The Elves when created by Selune were given a goodly nature. They were instructed that as long as what they do is for the good of the community the specifics don't necessarily matter. Lolth after the schism warped this idea in her followers so that their society maintained the lack of specific rules but they became far more interested in self than the community.
