Sallida Alure

Sallida Alure was born a fisherman's daughter on the island of Tetouan, far to the West of the Galmere Sea. Her father and his boat disappeared early in her childhood, little did she know then that a turn of the season caused a shortage of fish and he turned to piracy. He sailed North to the wild lands and kidnapped people for the slave trade, they made so much money that many of his crew refused to return home. The shame of returning home and needing to explain their long disappearance was too much for him, he consigned only to send money and never wrote them again.
Sallida was ashamed of her father and trained to be a skilled navigator, and naval combatant. She disguised herself and enlisted in the Galmerei navy, however on the way there her ship came under attack by pirates. The crew and Sallida overtook the scrawny half starved attackers, her own father was their captain. She spared him the difficult talk that would have followed laying his guts upon the deck. She decided that if this was the best pirates could do that she would take this ship and fight them wherever she met them.
She assumed command of the Kipper and sailed North and South finding any pirate ship bearing slaves and liberated them. Amongst the captive and conquered she established a crew a reputable strength. Soon she was feared as Cerburus of the Sea which defended the main passage used for the slave trade. Soon however naval pressures became too great and she was forced to flee East. There she was met with the new challenges of cunning tactics employed by the tight military doctrine of the Amazons and the reckless whims of the Elves.
After overcoming these new waters she was given the title of Sentinel of the Sea by the King of the Kingdom of Galmere. She now has a tight knit crew with a feverish desire to fight, and sometimes with a good cause.
