Potion of the Brilliant Dawn
In search of a cure for Ostreliea's mother, Clive Celaden pass her a tome bound in what feels like leather though having the appearance of a large leaf.
The book mentions a people of Lamsara known as the people of the sun, the ones loved by the earth. The book contains several decoctions of elixir though none seem appropriate save one, the Potion of Brilliant Dawn, which has been said to restore a hundred year old tree that had been chopped down to brand new overnight. However the ingredients are rare and some unfamiliar to you. Tigers' teeth Ivy, Hair of the Goddess, Moon Flower added at noon day and at the zenith of a full moon add a single petal of the Sun Orchid. Once mixed it must be consumed that night.
Tiger's Teeth Ivy: this plant is native to the Forests of Loth Andros while it's leaves are white when pressed the liquid it excretes is red. It seems so foreign to the natural world that many believe it originated in the Fey Wild. Preparing this herb requires pressing it into 2 parts strong alcohol to one part juice. While some potions list this as a required ingredient studies show that it has no effect in a subject's body but does taste sweet.
Hair of the Goddess: This lichen can be found on and around Vanadis Peak. While quite abundant in it's ecosystem, harvesting it can prove challenging as while not yet of proper age the plant is quite toxic. This toxicity is reduced only due to the growth of a particular fungus but if the fungus attaches itself for too long it will cause nausea and hallucinations. Which is where it got it's name as it's said that consuming this plant will bring you to meet the goddess you most desire. To prevent this, after successful harvest it must immediately be dried and as such will last quite a long time. Dried this reagent is used in powerful potions that augment the consumers physical abilities.
Moon Lily: This lily grows in Llyn Ogwen, and blooms only while exposed to moonlight, as it does so spores leave a central hollow bud. The important part of this component is the bud which is only viable if collected while in bloom but before the spores escape. Using a glass bowl to cover the lily it can be removed from the water after it's bloomed and placed into a special apparatus with no atmosphere, that allows in no light. This ingredient is almost unanimously used in the curing of Lycanthropy however it has also been rumored to be used in potions of longevity.
Sun Orchid: a flower beyond compare, radiates a warm glow. It only blooms once every 5 years, and only in the fertile soil within the magically prepared greenhouse of Lamsara. During this bloom a petal may be extracted, however if not used within 3 days of this it will wilt losing it's light and healing effects. The secrets of this orchid are closely guarded by the druids of Lamsara and only one other application of it is known, the creation of the Sun Orchid Elixir.
