Demorant Hawthorne

Count Demorant Hawthorne is third in the line of Count Hawthorne whose great grandfather won a decisive battle which recovered Greensward from invasion by sea. Afterward he was given the title of Castellean of Castle Spire. It wasn't until his son came off age and won favor in court that he convinced Ruby Empress Vinfrey to appoint him Count over the county containing Greensward.
Demorant did not follow the tradition of his grandfather in elegance in court being a crass oppressive ruler more concerned with the people's coin than their concerns.
