The Emerald Enclave

The Emerald Enclave started as a Mercenary group hired by the Blossoming Empire State during the war to help fill roles in smaller Towns and villages that needed protection from the wilds. Helping train local people to protect themselves and they're kin. The Enclave however showed themselves very quickly to be more then just a Mercenary group, they began to band together, creating barracks and jobs for people whom needed protection and income, becoming hunters and rangers, monster hunters and law keepers to smaller places in the south far from the Spires reach, the open mercenary work meant that anyone with adventuring training or survival training could join and make there ways up the ranks to help with the issues of the harsh swamp & forest lands of the south. When the war ended the Enclave was a strong Militarised unit which was under the employment of the State. Eventually the Blossoming Empire bought the Enclave and continued to invest within its pursuits realising that this roaming military could help so many people and help the Elven Spires reputation in the process. The Enclave is a symbol to all that the South may be dangerous with its wildlife, but there are those who are willing to serve and protect those who cant protect themselves. Monster Hunters mostly the Emerald Enclave are a symbol of hope & order to all whom see their colours or banners. Now the enclave stand strong with a barracks within most every village, town and city within the south, helping those whom have the coin with monster issues and the places they live with keeping those monsters out. Not all enclave members stay within the local areas they reside in however, some roam around looking for tasks and jobs to take when they can to help those whom may find themselves in the ambush of a goblin attack, or the resting place of an owlbears territory.

Composition

Manpower

Normally the Enclave hire mercenaries and adventurers as outsourced workers when they have small odd jobs, however if they do not have the funds, they have little time or they need a spastic job done they will use their own resources of men and woman whom they can call upon. These Enclave members are normally are split into groups called Pacts. With a Leader selected for a pact. Once you are within a pact you stay within that pact until you either die, are kicked out or have no members left beside you. These pacts normally consist of members between 5-15 members and they are treated like family.

Equipment

The Enclave Equipt their members with different tears of weaponry depending on their rank. Symbol brown leathers and green cloth are given to those of lower ranks to show the colours and blend in more to the environments of the South. However higher officers wear elven chain and other lightweight elven material.

Weaponry

As for weapons their are no standard issue weapons but all Enclave barrackses have standard steel weaponry on hand to sell to travelling adventurers or give to Enclave members.

Vehicles

Normally the Enclave like to stay low to the ground, walking on foot due to the swamp and forested terrain of the south. however some officers and those of higher states are equipped with Riding horses or in some cases large dogs or wolves.

Structure

The Emerald Enclave is split into 7 ranks. One Rank outside of the Enclave, three of Warriors inside the Pacts and two ranks inside villages, towns and cites and one elite rank only set for those whom guard the Spring Spire.   Cub - Those who join the Unit and are free to do odd jobs, getting discounts on food and weapons, and cheap logging with the enclave. Normally adventurers will Pay into this rank to gain the benefits and favour of the Enclave.       Spriggan - Notable for wearing the Enclave signature green coloured clothing and simple leathers. You're given an Enclave symbol, simple leathers & weapons, you're Also given to a Pact.   Satyr Apprentice - Notable for wearing a Coloured Sash of that Pacts colour, normally differing from the green of the Enclave. Once you've shown yourself as a warrior & a dedicated member of the Enclave you are appointed to a Satyr, as such you Apprentice a Pact leader and gain access to more dangerous missions.   Dryad Leader - Notable for wearing dark furs and hides of bears, wolves and other creatures the Dyads are the pact leaders and mentors of their pact, someone who looks after the pact and makes sure they are staying within the bounds and laws of the enclave and the lands they live upon.       Basilisk Warden - The Basilisk rank goes to those whom live within the Cities, Towns and villages that the Enclave inhabit, they are notable for wearing scale mail, they are the teachers, trainers and officers to new recruits and those whom need to find a pact. They look after the Village, Town and Cities they live in from attack and train Cubs and Spriggans until they are appointed a pact leader or are assigned on a mission.   Redcap Captain - The officers of the Enclave the men in charge of the Enclave Barracks they reside in within cites, towns and villages, notably seen with red armour or clothing with either scalemail, Splint Mail or Breastplates. These officers are head of the cites barracks and know all the pacts and leaders under their command and control.       Eladrin - These are the special elites of the Enclave, a position only given to the elite of the elite, normally given to elves this position is one of a Guard within the Spring Spire. highly trained, highly skilled and highly respected these members are the guards and officers of the Elven Spring Spire.

Training

Training normally is given freely to Spriggan’s and offered to cubs for a fee. Training also is given to those freely within the village and towns the barracks's can be located. Training consists of weapon usage, understanding beasts and beastlike behaviour and a lot of survival training, tracking and understanding the lands around you.

Logistics

Logistical Support

Funding is given from the Spring Spire directly as well as local mayors, dukes and duchesses whom have complaints of monsters within their local areas.

Auxilia

They work hand in hand with adventurers whom need coin or assistance with smaller issues.

Upkeep

The costs vary from barracks to barracks. Most of the income that those whom are within a Pact get is varied with possession, mission and equipment. However those within the barracks and keep them running have a stable income and place to live bought and looked after by the Enclave.

Recruitment

Recruitment varies as well. Normally a test of the Cubs performance is needed to see them go up the ranks to a Spriggan, same with any rank you may apply for.

Historical loyalties

The Enclave is Loyal to the Spring Spire and the King or Queen that controls the spire. As well as the Village, Town or City the Enclave barracks may be apart of.
