Ambarix
The old capital of Kor-Sharan, now a ruinous city populated by Orc-kind. It is difficult to discern who controls it, as chieftains are quickly replaced by in-fighting and claimants. Sadly, many of the past mistakes repeat, and Orcs force their brethren to toil in fields or drive them out as raiding parties for sustenance. Beware to any soul that dares step into this city without a good reason - and tribute.
History
Once the capital of a splendorous kingdom, Ambarix was home to the Great Houses of Kor-Sharan. Before Spirefall, it was a highly advanced yet decadent city where beauty was first and foremost among other worries. Wanting for little, the Great Houses rarely allowed foreigners into their land, worried that they would disturb their peace. Magic was taught to the elite, and the citizenry enjoyed a high level of education.
Of course, all this was borne from the enthrallment of an entire species, Orcs. From its very beginning, the leaders of the kingdom used these species to labor and toil both among the fields and mines, and also as house servants. Every tedium was left to them, and even though they could perfectly use horses, the elites rode on carriages hoisted by the strongest slaves they owned.
These days this decadence is not even a whisper in the wind, instead replaced by shouts and growls of the new chieftains that rule it.

Architecture
Ambarix was known for its crystalline spires which gleamed across the valleys of the kingdom. Monuments, archs and towers of all kinds of stones decorated its streets, and fountains and gardens provided respite for the population.
