The Emantla Empire
The Emantla Empire is located north of The Vedenjakarja River. The empire was formed when Emantla, the nation north of the Tarchan Sea, conquered Gravoch, the nation that was to the south of Tarchan Sea. Due to the way the empire was formed there are tensions between the north and the south halves of The Emantla Empire. Many of those who live in the south wish to have their independence again, while those who live in the north enjoy the resources that they gain from the south, so they are not inclined to break apart the empire.
Some of the groups that call for independence tend to get violent, sometimes using terror attacks to make themselves heard. These groups have caused there to be a larger military presence in the southern half of the empire than there is in the north. They have also caused the formation of some laws that are meant to help mitigate the chances of further attacks. One of such laws is that people are not allowed to be out on the streets after dark unless they have special permission, and the pass that comes with such permission. This is enforced by the guards in the different towns an cities, and breaking the curfew will lead to the imprisonment of the one(s) who broke the curfew.
Structure
The empire is ruled directly by the Emperor, who rules for life and is succeeded by his oldest son. Each province is then ruled by a local governor, who is directly appointed by the Emperor.
