The High Council Building

Purpose / Function

This is the seat of power to The Council of Magi. The leaders of the Council of Magi reside here and conduct high level of arcane magics here. Only the top students are able to be accepted into The High Council Academy. Here they learn very high level magics and are ultimately the top candidates for Archmage with the Council of Magi.

Alterations

Only one alteration was made to the original structure of the building, which was the Archmage's tower. This was constructed sometime during the Second Age and it's main function was to provide the Archmage of the Council of Magi the ability to run his own magical experiments in private.

History

After the Fracturing and the world was starting to rebuild itself from the destruction, the remaining wizards who were extremely gifted in the arcane wanted to pass on their knowledge. They began looking around Venn to find any gifted individuals who survived the Fracturing. They eventually found around fifty individuals who were gifted with the arcane. The few high level wizards appointed Matthias Velidon to be the first Archmage of the newly formed Council of Magi. From there, Matthias began building the High Council Academy. The original building was right next to Krennica Tower and suffered major damage from the Fracturing. At the time the Republic was in its infant stage of becoming the political power it is today. Matthias requested that the building be given to the Council as it was far too beyond repair. The Republic went forward with the deal and the Council of Magi had their first site for their first Academy. Matthias created a beautiful building and named it the "High Council" and thus it became the seat of power for the Council of Magi.

Tourism

Many students of the Council of Magi come to see the High Council Academy. They come to see the Archmage tower and to see the many gifted wizards that are studying at the High Council. Some high level wizards will take the visiting students in for a one-time lesson in their gifted abilities.
