Beentoe

Defences

Given the importance of Beentoe, the Republic established a barracks within the city. They have four watchtowers around the perimeter of Beentoe. The watchtowers are closely monitored and the guards rotate their watches efficiently. The roads leading into Beentoe are closely patrolled by the Republic. The distillery is the most watched location within Beentoe. The Republic guards it night and day, keeping track of who goes in and out of the distillery at all times.

Industry & Trade

The town of Beentoe is one of the Republic's main source of alcohol, specifically a major brand of whiskey. The Beentoe Reserve is a very popular and expensive brand of whiskey within the Republic and draws in a large amount of money in Beentoe. Shipments of the whiskey are closely guarded given the amount of money that can be made from it. Because of the income that is generated in Beentoe, a few legions of the Republic Army is stationed in Beentoe to ensure the safety of the distillery and the convoys.

History

Beentoe was founded during the Second Age. It was a small town that had no real impact on the grand scheme of the Republic. Beentoe had no real significance until the Third Age. During the Third Age Beentoe started gaining reputation as a great distiller of alcohol. Later on in the Third Age, Beentoe established a distillery within the city to allow for the trading of their alcohol. During this time their defenses were not as they were today. Because of the week defenses, Beentoe was attacked by a group of raiders looking to make a name for themselves by destroying the distillery. The raiders were a bit too overzealous and not only destroyed the distillery but also burned down the entire town.    Fortunately, the Republic saw to it that the raiders would be dealt with according for razing the town to the ground. They captured many members of the initial raiding party and gave them swift justice. Some of the raiders still eluded the Republics grasp and were never captured. Once the raiders were dealt with, the Republic began rebuilding Beentoe and restore it to what it once was. After a few years, Beentoe was restored and the Republic provided Beentoe with a more advanced distillery than ever before.

Tourism

Many people come from all over the Republic to taste the whiskey of Beentoe from the source. Tours are given inside the distillery after a very careful check of all individuals who have requested to tour the distillery.
