Kalinvor (kal-in-vor)

Kalinvor was the first champion of the The Matron of Ravens , and was her steadfast ally before and during her apotheosis. Some legends suggest that in life they were siblings, close friends or that he was a steward in her temple - though little is known about the nature of their relationship beyond master and servant.

Regardless, he was rarely far from her side ready to defend her against cultists, elementals, and the dragons who feared the rise of mortal powers. It is said that in his duty he was amicable rivals with Voraldalon and her consort, and often contended against the dragon for his mistress's ear during times of council.

Little is known of his fate and folk tales in regions where the Raven Queen is worshiped vary widely. Some suggest he is the hound lying at the feet of the Matron, ready to leap at her order. Or that he still roams the lands, shepherding souls to her embrace. Others yet tell tale of his tragic defeat in a great battle to defend the sanctity of death.
In recent history, whispers of his shadowy form walking city streets have emerged - a warning to those who would pervert the most sacred of rites.
