The Shim Tal Crime Family is an infamous criminal organization from The Khjeir-Tal that migrated to The River Coast. They are known for committing many crimes and for being smugglers of Kaliri Essence. Some of their most famous jobs are The Crown Heist of Khjeir-Tal, The Mira Shai-Ku (The Conspirator's Game), and The Shalaikai Stri Chual (Manhunt for Chual).
The Crown Heist of Khjeir-Tal was a criminal heist that aimed to steal the Crown of Tao-Yai. The Crown of Tao-Yai is by far the most expensive, valued at over one billion silver rivers. The Shim Tal planned and executed a heist to steal the crown. The heist was successful, and it is now unknown where the crown is.
The Mira Shai-Ku was a grand conspiracy involving quite a few of the kingdoms orchestrated by the Shim Tal. To summarize it, the leaders of Tao-Yai were convinced by the Shim Tal that Vamor and Emtu wanted to invade the Hundred Plateaus. Vamor did, but Emtu did not. When Vamor did so, Tao-Yai was convinced that the Shim Tal knew what they were doing when it came to aiding the government. The Shim Tal then played the Southern Federation and Emtu against each other to create a war that is still going on to this day. The Shim Tal then played Vamor and Mormai against each other by making it seem like Mormai was going to attack Vamor, causing Vamor to attempt to capture Kobu. This angered Mormai, who attacked back, and started the war. Tao-Yai, seeing the opportunity to recapture the Hundred Plateaus did so. The Hundred Plateaus were given to the Shim Tal who decided not to live there themselves but have mining colonies mine materials that they could sell.
The Shalaikai Stri Chual was a manhunt done by the Shim Tal to kill a man known as Chual Kaira. The man had likely ran away from a debt that he needed to pay to the Shim Tal. The Shim Tal put up a bounty, 100,000 Rivers. A value that some of the richest men could only dream of. Millions participated, looking for the one man, Chual Kaira. On the fourth day of The Counting, he was found. What was done to him by the Shim Tal, and who exactly found him, is not known. What is known is that the aristocracy grew one more that day.
