The Shattered Realm

The Shattered Realms are some of the most populous lands on the continent of Vaelun, stretching from the Dwarfholds in the North to the Elvish lands in the south and bordered by sea to the east and the Dragonbacks to the west. Formerly the Rivellian Empire, over 300 years ago during the great Sundering, A cataclysmic event that saw magic fail and the Rivellian Emperor die without an heir, the empire collapsed and states have risen and fallen ever since without ever being able to unify the lands under one ruler.
There are currently 4 States that vie for supremacy; Kingdom of Traygar, The Ironmark Syndicate , The Most Serene Republic of Arsuf  and the Hadrumentum Empire.
Alliances and rivalries are constantly shifting, forever preventing one side gaining an advantage. if one nation could break the stalemate and unite the shattered Realms they would they become one of the most powerful rulers in the known world and undoubtedly reward well those who had followed them...
