The Most Serene Republic of Arsuf

The most Serene Republic of Arsuf, more commonly know as "the Republic" or even simply "Arsuf", is a mercantile republic in the north of The Shattered Realm.  
Emerging from the chaos of the Sundering, the city of Arsuf looked to it's leading merchants to provide funds to protect it during that troubled period. Over 300 years later and those same merchant families now run the republic that expanded outwards from the city. 
Perhaps the most moderate of all the successor states from the Rivellian Empire, the Republic is more interested in trade and commerce than all out conquest. However, concerned about the effect the constant border skirmishes are having on that very trade, many of the great families as well the current Archon, see it as their duty to bring peace and prosperity to the region.
