Hanseat League

The Hanseat League is a loose confederation of cities that lie to the east of the The Shattered Realm. although each member state is autonomous in it's own lands that entire polity is bound together in mutual defense and trade. 
Having emerged from the Sundering with relatively little damage the Hanseat league has grown wealthy and prosperous in the absence of war and disaster. This in turn has led to a flourishing of the arts and science that further bolstered the position of the league. Today, the Hanseat League stands as the dominant power in the region, rivalled perhaps only by the Kingdom of Karak-Az- Knurlheim in the north.
Recently guilds in the league have begun exploring the possibility of another continent west of Vaelun, paying good money for explorers and adventurers willing to risk sailing west in search of land and wealth.
