Clown

You better sleep, you better not steal, you better eat well or else the clown is coming for you.Common phrase to scare children
The clown is the fourth entity of Medirnist religion. He is the entity in charge of children behavior and therefore the one in charge of assassinate naughty children that don't eat vegetables, go to bed early, study, respect its family, and drink a lot of water daily.

Mith

The mith says that the clown's way of assassinating children is one of the obscurest. He creates Bottles of acid sugar, which he can throw at children to intoxicate them and make them enter a state of amnesia. Then, he drags the victim into a hidden place and kills him with his kitchen knife.

Historical Basis

The figure of the clown has varied through time, as any other entity, and nowadays he is thought of as a grown, sad, fat man with a funny white face with a red nose, and a typical rose and white outfit of 20th century clowns. It is universally known that children have always had some kind of fear towards clowns, and probably this obsession lead to the image that is known nowadays of the Clown.   It is thought that this entity was perceived centuries ago not as a clown but rather a mage, creating illusions to children to entertain them, but while its image changed to the public, it ended up being called The Clown and being imagined as an actual fair clown of any 20th century circus.

Cultural Reception

From all Medirnism, the Clown is probably the most well known entity from them all, basically because of the opportunity it gives to parents to scare their children into not doing bad tings.
