The Sanatorium of our Lord is an asylum built to house ex-Axiom clergy who were discovered to have committed the sin of dishonesty. Located near Truth's Pilgrimage in the Occidental countryside, the Sanatorium is a large institution affiliated with Enaldirianism.

Purpose / Function

The Sanatorium is a place for "sinners" (those members of the Axiom Church that are caught for lying) to be rehabilitated by other Enaldirian clergy. It functions almost as if it were a reverse-asylum - many of these people enter the Sanatorium with their wits about them, and due to the treatment they undergo while present in the structure, find themselves with wills broken or otherwise utterly insane.

Architecture

The Sanatorium was built in a similar style to both the Veritas Cathedral and Truth's Pilgrimage, two major cathedrals dedicated to Axiom worshp. Thus, the floors and walls are constructed of black and white marble (to further illustrate the Enaldirian ideal that the truth is entirely in black and white), utilizing the ebony wood from the pseudo-jungle dotting the Occidental Coast for its doors and other woodwork.

History

The Sanatorium of our Lord was constructed in CY 999 by a member of the Flodfald Family who sought to find a less obvious way of imprisoning his political enemies within the Axiom Church. Thus, he created this structure to house these individuals and slowly bend them to his will.
The U5 have investigated the Sanatorium multiple times for humanoid rights abuses, but have seemingly never found anything of importance.
