Sam the Bastard was a high-ranking administrator of the Venomous Rose, an extensive criminal syndicate that dominates the underground of Fenrir. He is among The Lady Maud's on-call henchmen for major tasks, and she grants him the autonomy to take on projects of his own. Sam's modus operandi was to hire commoners as goons, then eventually betray them in a sting by the King's Glaive. He did this to Arthur McClub in CY 1695 at the Bee's Knees speakeasy in Little Iaccha. Sam was killed by Kamaria ó Conchobhair's Guiding Bolt following the CY 1699 Veil Gala.
