Brunhilde (břün-HILD)

"Her strength, innumerable. Her will, infinite. Her skill at the forge? Surpasses them all. To challenge the ability of Brunhilde is to challenge the ultimate craftswoman; despite her benevolent exterior she will smite you in an instant for utter insolence."

Neutral Good, Uthilithian Conception of Craftsmen and the Forge.

Brunhilde was born out of Uthilithian love for craftsmanship and innovation. As the first Rock Gnomes emerged from the Thirty-Year Blur with their consciousnesses balanced by Uvta, they took interest in technological advancement through arcane artifice; in tandem, the first Mountain Dwarves began to craft weaponry beyond crude sticks. The forge goddess sprang into the world, blessing her followers with the spark of progress.   Although a member of the major pantheon, Brunhilde lacks a universal doctrine. Rather, she has small sects spread across the world that dedicate themselves to her in vastly individual ways. Most craftsmen dedicate themselves to Brunhilde in some fashion; in order to be recognized as a true artisan, the Hildian hammer and sickle must be prominently displayed somewhere inside of a smith's forge.   Brunhilde's avatar regularly manifests for her followers to grant boons and additional enchantments onto their creations. It typically appears as a smiling muscular Goliath woman, covered in dozens of burns and scars from her own smithing endeavors. She is usually clad in a thick smith's apron and goggles.
The forge goddess is the mother of O'sha, goddess of architecture and safety. She has a massive following amongst Gnomes, Dwarves, and Dragonborn - three ancestries that place great emphasis on talents of craftsmanship. Intact Hildian temples at the scale of Enaldir's or Zisnera's are immensely rare - she has dedicated cathedrals in Hresvelg and Nurn Durahl.
The Hildian Sea Forge was mentioned in one of the final Notebooks of Astrid, close to the end of the original Empress' life. To this day, it is considered to be the greatest treasure trove in Uthilithian history and is constantly sought out by adventurers - none have yet to discover it, even with substantial divine assistance.
"Deep beneath the shimmering waves of the Uthilith Great Sea, there stands a forge of enormous proportions. Though completely submerged, it is alight with constant progress and innovation unlike anywhere on the surface of the world. Constructed within are weapons that could bring destruction to a kingdom; treasures that could bring infinite riches to any who beheld their luster. To they who rediscover the ultimate temple of Brunhilde - you have great power, but immeasurably more responsibility."   "Brunhilde permitted my passage inward because of my relation to the Creator; however, the layman would be killed without mercy. If they were to survive the crushing depths, then they would need to surpass the obstacles laid before them - including the most dangerous creature borne of this world."
