Archbishop of Candor
The Archbishop of Candor is the most difficult position of any religious, political, or arcane order to achieve. It requires such absolute devotion to truth and justice that you've absolved yourself of all falsehoods in the eyes of the truth god Enaldir, a feat that has been achieved by a single individual in Uthilith's storied history - Saint Cethleann. Her ideals of verity and righteousness went beyond that of the Truth God himself, transcending far past mortal limitations of clerisy. St. Cethleann achieved this through her triumph over the Prime Ancestor white dragon Brauvis, who was terrorizing Hebra Province in CY 189 (several years into the Clayfire Dynasty).
Enaldir's paladins and clerics are few and far between, despite the ubiquity of his worship throughout the world. Most folks see worship to the "absolution of truth and justice" as a simple means to an end, but those who are granted oaths of devotion or power through worship are separated from the chaff. He's the judge of all interplanar affairs, and thus his selection process is a bit more refined than that of others within the pantheon.
Duties
Promote the values of Enaldir without corrupting into a cult leader - truth begets happiness, truth begets wealth, and justice begets peace.
Benefits
The Archbishop of Candor is given an incantation beyond the most powerful of healing spells, only possessed by the primordial spirits of Uthilith - Mass Resurrection. If enough wealth is accrued by the caster, they can resurrect up to one hundred deceased individuals who died of unnatural causes each day, as their deaths were not just.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Enaldirians see the world in black and white, and thus, the Archbishop of Candor is clad in an extravagant set of robes embossed with black amethysts and white diamonds.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
If the Archbishop fails to uphold the values of Enaldir - if they waver even slightly, then that is grounds for dismissal.
