The Untongued

Impossible to interrogate. Efficient assassins. Unknown heirarchy.

Though just a few in number, the Untongued are a highly successful guild specialising in the murder of paid for targets. Their name stems from urban legends - most likely spread by the guild themselves - that describe a harrowing initiation rite culminating in the removal of their tongue. This is pure fabrication but has formed an effective smokescreen in allowing members to blend into society.

The organisation is infamous due to the relative ease of contact: to mark a target, one must contact the Voice - a member whose identity is publically known and is easily reached by magic such as sending. The Voice replies with a price and a dead drop location in which to pay it. In the couple of centuries that the guild has functioned, they have a near perfect success rate at killing a target within a fortnight.

Equipment

Each Untongued has freedom to dress as they choose and will use a variety of disguises. All successful kills appear to end with the strike from a dagger.
