General Summary
Session 13: Back for the Beans -
Cat and Geoffrey go on their date, Geoffrey is a whore and cat is awkward. Geoffrey leads them to the stables to bring Cat on a little joyride on his horse. Millie, Leo and Chateau follow them, with varying amounts of stealth. Cat and Whore get off at a restaurant, and while the 3 stalkers are deciding whether to follow them, Millie brings forth the genius plan of using the hats of disguise. Cat and Geoffrey hold hands while they small talk a bit. Cat and Geoffrey make plans to meet up at his hotel room later, much to the anger of Chateau and Leo. Leo is a little gremlin and says some shit abt “she can’t unlose her virginity to me”. Geoffrey says “You’re beautiful” cat says “I know”. Geoffrey gloats about being his father’s favorite son, despite being the only son. Geoffrey says he’d have dated his younger sister if they weren’t related, and Leo and Chateau seethe some more. Millie and Chateau question Leo about his possessiveness over Catrina, which only serves to make Leo even worse, and he vows to win her over, despite having no experience in women or dating. Chateau tries to give him advice but he’s a fucking nerd and a simp and all he can do is make little toys. Cat spends the night with Geoffrey and gets an urgent message from Hawthorne in the morning. The professors gather all the students and tell them that they’ll be postponing the festival to work security detail for an auction across the country. The party departs, and Leo seems a whole lot more focused than usual on his craft. He eventually completes a really limp, sad-looking teddy bear. He stuffs it, and shows it to Millie and Chateau, seemingly proud of his work and looking for feedback. Chateau says gifts are fine and all but maybe he should talk to her about his feelings or something, an idea Leo shoots down because he doesn’t think he can compete with Geoffrey. Cyrille suggests the use of sovereign glue for hostage-taking, which Wyrd seems quite uncomfortable with. Nikola and Azaloth discuss Lucienne and the remaining spawn, as well as Vael’s plans to grab some items at this auction. Leo gives Catrina the Leobear, which she really loves, and then immediately pretends to be indifferent towards it. Leo takes this as a great success. Alighieri gives some backstory on his sailing company, and the party gets onto the ship. The party sings some sea shanties, and eventually makes their way to the auction house. They meet a very southern lady named Mindy the Auctioneer, who chats up every party member individually, and informs them of which of their family members are in attendance. The party quickly learns that Mindy is a bitch, and Wyrd makes sure to note down that she is not a priority if shit goes down at the auction. The party arrives at their accommodations and goes to their very fancy rooms. Azaloth and Nikola discuss the worsening influence of Naberios, and the effects this is having on Azaloth. They also discuss the conflicts with the Duke and Vael, and Azaloth’s reluctance to part with Naberios’ power, fearing the setbacks he would have to recover from and the lack of time they have to do so. Millie and Chateau go to the gym together, and then they go to the spa. Chateau tries to hide her relationship from Millie’s prying questions, and Millie talks about extorting people’s souls via their upcoming Idol careers. Wyrille picks outfits for Cyrille, and Cyrille shares their worries about upsetting their sister and lord Du Lapointe, and then have a wholesome moment together. Leo gives Cat a little music box, and she continues to be dismissive of his advances but does give him a little kiss on the cheek. He’s weird as fuck and asks her to do it again, and then offers to make her more gifts. Leo is very embarrassed, and Cat thinks he has a fever and Leo tries very hard to confess feelings, and Cat is really bad at returning them. Leo asks her out formally, and Catrina says yes after being squirrely about it for a bit. This is some real straight ppl shit.frfr, very cringe. Chateau receives a “Thank you” basket in the morning. The party dresses up in their drip in their provided suits and begins their job. The party gets a nice view of a lot of nobles. The auctioneer brings out one of the sister weapons of Vael Dwo’s dagger of the Crimson Witch. Azaloth barely has time to inform Cyrille about this before the doors burst open, and a small group of undead appears. The party engages them, and Wyrd secures the dagger. A shadow man uncloaks in front of Wyrd and Azaloth, decidedly a bad mistake. Chateau nukes the fuck out of a zombie troll, and Lucienne appears. Azaloth and Wyrd offer her safety if she surrenders, and she accepts this. The gang all groups up in the Krolock box and considers Lucienne’s options, and then the Lord du Lapointe crashes the party and refuses the Krolocks' offer to take her and turn her. Millie jumps in with her own offer to hire her indefinitely as a bodyguard, and Lord du Lapointe is forced to accept. Lucienne thanks Millie and after realizing she doesn’t actually need her protection and asks if they can be friends. She is passed off to Marquis Van Fenrir. Cyrille goes absolutely INSANE on the auction and gets the party every item they wanted other than the beans. The party then hunts down the noble that bought the beans and jumps them after the auction, BEANS SECURED.
