Himic

Himics live in towns, cities and kitchens with other races. They are neutral by nature but adopt the culture and morals of the place where they live. The favorite pass times of a Himic are eating and observing life. Himics try to live out of sight of others.

Build

They are close to humans in size and weight.

Appearance

Himics look like humans with no hair anywhere. Himics don't have eyes or eye sockets. Himic teeth are sharp and their mouths are wider than humans or other humanoids.

Sentries and Spies

Sticky Skin

Your skin is covered with a sticky layer. You have advantage on Strength (Athletics) ability check made to grapple. You cannot be disarmed against your will. You have disadvantage on ability checks made to escape grapple.

Bite

Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal acidic damage equal to 1d6 + piercing damage equal to your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. Your fangs are considered Finesse.

Wallflower(Painting)

As an action, you can polymorph into an object of size Medium or Small that you have seen. As an object your speed is 0. You can use an action to return to your original humanoid form. While you remain motionless, as an object you are indistinguishable from an ordinary object. Your equipment does not change with you, however, it may be contained within you as long as your shape has the dimensions to accommodate it. If you die, you revert to your true form. You retain all of your normal statistics while in this form.

Nothing to see here

You have blindsight up to 30 feet. You are blind to anything further than that. If you gain any other type of vision (such as darkvision) that requires eyes then your blindsight range is increased by 15 feet for every 60 feet you get.

Alien Senses

You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) ability checks that use senses other than sight.

Furniture's Rest

When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can "see" and hear as normal.
