The party can earn a possible 35 points with the Eladrin while they are working their way through the Fey Palace.
Team 2
If the party doesn't disable or kill Team 2, they will work their way through the Fey Palace as well. They will earn 20 points.
More
If the party earns more points than Team 2, they will witness Team 2 being imprisoned into the same room as the Fey Doctor was freed from. They will then be told that they are the worthy group and are free to leave through the same door that they came through. If the party protests that Team 2 is being imprisoned, the Fey will give the party the option to fight for Team 2's freedom. If they choose to do this, they will have to face
Summer Eladrin. If they defeat him, Team 2 will be released into their custody with a statement that the Fey now holds them responsible for anything that the group does. If they loose, the Fey will keep Team 2 and will teleport the party outside the Fey Palace to the Mushroom Ring.
Less
If the party earns fewer points than Team 2, the Fey will declare that Team 2 performed better through the Palace, but that the party was able to free the doctor and thus they now need to determine who the more worthy group is. The Fey will demand that the two groups fight each other in order to determine who is more worthy. Team 2 will apologize to the party, but they will fight since they believe it is their only way to leave the Palace. The party is expected to defeat Team 2 here. If they loose, this will be a party kill situation because the Fey will not release any of the party after failing to prove to be part of the more worthy group. You could also choose to make a failure a opening to an adventure line of the party finding a way to escape from the Fey Palace.
No Challenger
If the party has encountered Team 2 somewhere along the way in the Palace and they have been disabled or killed, then the party's score will not be compared to Team 2 as they will already have been deemed the more worthy group.
Other Options
There are other ways that you can choose to use the score within the Palace. It could be just a bragging point for your players for them to know how well they did in completing the challenges presented throughout the Palace. You could also award the points to specific players depending on who completed the challenge and make it so that the party was secretly competing against themselves. You could have two groups of players compete against each other rather then using the NPC party.
