Mindwreckers

The Mundane world is not quite sure how to treat this organization. On the one hand, it is a radical group that is regularly involved in disturbing the peace, assault, torture, and even extremely violent terrorist activities. On the other hand, they do it all in the name of “freedom of the mind,” and claim to be “psychic warriors” and “the world’s elite psionicists.” The Mindwreckers believe that mental powers are the world’s most avant-garde art form, and that they should be left alone to allow their artistry to flourish. However, their “artistry” seems to focus mainly on hurting innocent people and destroying public and private property. They believe that anyone who does not have mental powers is merely clay or canvas to be molded by a skilled craftsperson. Often they videotape their criminal activities to add to their portfolios. What’s more, they brand anyone whom they believe to have psychic abilities yet opposes their activities a “mindcriminal,” and target that person and his or her family, business, and property for especially destructive “performances.”

Structure

There seems to be no organization or structure to this group. Chaos seems to reign at the heart of everything that they do. They tend to travel in small groups that they refer to as cells.

Culture

There is nothing more important than the mind and the powers that it gives to a human who properly hones it. Those with the psychic powers are the next step in the evolutionary chain for humanity. Embracing this chaotic and creative force is embracing the Divine inherent within each human. Those who are gifted have been lifted up above the lowly rabble are are elevated to the level of angels. If they reach further still, they can ascend to godhood.

Public Agenda

They have declared that they are fighting for the freedom to simply exist as the divine has invented them. They deny the merit of the laws of those who are beneath them.

Technological Level

Every member of the Mindwreckers that have been detained and evaluated have been noted to have brain cybernetics. Many of the cybernetics present are black market and their functions are unknown. But it would seem that having brain augmentation is a part of belonging to this group.

It seems a paradox. They are a group that holds the powers of the mind sacred above all else, yet they desecrate it with the presence of a machine.
