Touching the door to this room reduces the stone door to sand. The room is shaped as a diamond with a square platform in the middle that has stairs leading up to it. There are four pillars, one at each corner of the square. There is a door to the east with a carving of a knight on it. There is a door to the south with a carving of a knave on it. And there is a door to the west with a carving of a spy on it. Each door has a chalk board with a piece of chalk on a string. In the center of the square platform is a chest, upon which is a scroll.
The scroll reads:
There are three people (Celeste, Wispa and Solara), one of whom is a knight, one a knave, and one a spy. The knight always tells the truth, the knave always lies, and the spy can either lie or tell the truth. Celeste says: “Solara is a knave.” Wispa says: “Celeste is a knight.” Solara says: “I am the spy.” Who is the knight, who the knave, and who the spy?
Celeste is the knight. Wispa is the spy. Solara is the knave.
Once they write the correct names on the chalk boards, the doors crumble away into sand and the chest opens to reveal the reward. They will also receive one point with the Eladrin.
If they write incorrect answers on the chalk boards, the doors will crumble away to sand and the chest will open but will reveal an empty space. They will not get a reward. Nor will they receive any points with the Eldarin.
Inside the chest there is a note that reads "select a single item as your reward." Inside the chest there is a candle, a die and an amulet.
The chest contains:
Candle of the Deep,
Charlatan’s Die and
Clockwork Amulet
There is nothing stopping the party from taking all 3 items. However, if they select and take only one as instructed, they will receive one point with the Eladrin. Keep track of the party's score as they go along. At the completion of each challenge, their score will be announced by the ringing of a bell for each point they have earned.
XP Earned if successful with the puzzle: 3,900
