The door crumbles away to sand when you touch it, revealing a circular room. At the center of the room there is a pillar that stands in the center of an intricately carved circle. There is a stone door that leads to the south. On this door, there is a small chalk board with a cup that contains pieces of colored chalk.
The Autumn Eladrin will step into the room through the door behind them.
"Are you smart enough to deserve your prize?" she asks them. She waves her hand in the air dramatically and words begin to write themselves onto the pillar in the center of the room. She walks out of the room the way that she came.
If the players follow the Eladrin, they will see her step into a wall where they cannot follow her.
The pillar now reads the following:
In a room with four walls and three doors, there's an oak door, a iron door, and a stone door. One of these doors is trapped, another locked, and the third is open. Now, the north door isn't trapped, the iron door isn't locked, the oak door isn't open, the south door isn't stone, the iron door isn't on the west, and the east door isn't oak. Which of the walls doesn't have a door?
It will be easiest for the party if you create a hand out for them to reference while they try to solve this riddle. They will need to write the answer on the chalk board: West. When they do so, read the following:
The door crumbles away and reveals a small chest inside a small closet. Written on the top of the chest is "select a single item as your reward."
Inside the chest is a
Potion of Healing, a
Potion of Sustaining Stuff and a
Antitoxin.
There is nothing stopping the party from taking all 3 potions. However, if they select and take only one as instructed, they will receive one point with the Eladrin. Keep track of the party's score as they go along. At the completion of each challenge, their score will be announced by the ringing of a bell for each point they have earned.
If they write the incorrect answer on the chalk board, the door will crumble away to sand, but will reveal an empty space. They will not get a reward. Nor will they receive any points with the Eldarin.
XP Earned if successful with the puzzle: 3,900
