Uranon - The Red Land
A single band of land inside an endless ocean. Eternal summers and fertile earth as far as the eye can see. Where it not for cursed Uranon, one might truly call this land paradise.
Land without End
As far as mankind is aware, there is only Uranon. The sole continent of the world stretches from north to south without end. Its true boundaries are unknown, lost in the relentless advance of the Dune Sea in the south, and the sheer emptiness of the northern steppe. Certain is only that a man ahorse would need to ride more than two hundred days straight to make the trip from one known end of the world to the other.
East and West are marked by the two great oceans of the world, although many think it to be one single body that stretches around the globe. To reach one when starting from the other, a horsemen would need to travel a month without end. However, the journey, while far shorter, would be of greater difficulty.
The Red Wall
In the west, rusted peaks block the path. Often called "Fire Peaks" due to their glow whenever the light of the sinking sun hits them, they rise up to two-thousand metres above the land. While not as tall as its eastern brethren, the Red Wall is far more open, making for easier settlement within the many vales and gorges that lie in its shade. Few veins of precious metal lay here, but veritable oceans of iron hide beneath earth and the roots of tall pines.

The Iron Wall
By contrast, the Iron Wall makes for a far more hostile sight. A cold aura seems to surround them even in bright daylight. Their peaks seem too tall, almost deformed in some places. Cold winds drive down in great waves from their slopes and few would willingly settle high up in their shadowed vales. If not for their vast veins of precious metal and strategic passes which allow control over trade, there is no doubt that the Iron Wall would remain devoid of human life.

Green Heart
Between the towering mountain-ranges lies the heart of the continent. Simply referred to as the Heartlands by many, it is a vast expanse of rolling hills and flat plains that stretches for several thousand miles from north to south. A large inland sea, known as the Minoan Sea, dominates the northern half.
Large rivers feeding and being fed by it, most prominently the Minos, Theira and Tein, make the northern half of the Heartlands the most fertile land in the known world. Further south, the land grows drier, but only a little less fertile. The remnants of old forests can still be found here while none remain in the north.
In the far south, the Heartlands end in a range of highlands and dense rainforests. Here the Riverlands of Teren begin. Vast quantities of water rush south every minute, rivers growing from minor streams until they combine into the titanic Aranis that eventually loses itself in the ever-growing Dune Sea.
Sea-bound Lands
Outside the embrace of the mountains lie two very different regions. Each faces an endless expanse of water, but that is where the comparisons end.
Dust and Stone
West of the Red Wall lies a land of sharp cliffs and rocky earth. Dry winds stream down from the mountains and drive great clouds of dust out over the cold waters of the Eudean Ocean. The ground is hard and often less than viable for agriculture. Even the forests here are strange, either marked by barks of stone or unnatural growth. Far to the north, where the waters of the Worm Sea eat holes into even the sturdiest of ships, great storms of ice will periodically wipe out all life.

Rain and Mist
The land east of the Iron Wall could not be more different. Warm and watered by great walls of rainclouds arriving from the Thalassean Sea, the eastern coast is a land of plenty. Between fertile grey earth, great rainforests and veils of mist that periodically fall across the land, it is a region of both dreams and mysteries. But even here nature shows its deadly nature for many a peak of the Iron Wall is volcanic in origin. And the less is said about the Landbreaker the better.

Into the North
Separated from the Heartlands and coastal areas by mountains, the Far North is one of the more isolated parts of Uranon. Windswept steppelands make up the vast majority of it, but there are some forests and hillscapes south of the great iceriver Arrin. It is the only region of Uranon that exeperiences a long lasting winter, with snow and ice a near-permanent feature for a third of the year on average. Some whisper that there are places further up north where winter holds eternal court. Of walls and entire mountains of ice and wind so cold it freezes a man within seconds. But no man of the Wind Age has ever laid eyes on them.
We know the southern desert is ever advancing, but what about the one in the north? Perhaps there will be a day when there is only sand and snow upon Uranon's earth.

Origins
Many theories have emerged on the origin on the world, some claiming it to be the work of the divine, others seeing it as a chaotic act of chance. Stories there are almost none for the near-eternal reign of the Empire having left the world bare in terms of myth and memory.
Of Wind and Storm
When the wind blew again for the first time in a thousand years, it heralded the end of Uranon's reign. In the three hundred years that have passed since then, the world's climate has started to change. The permanent mild summer of the Void Age has ended, giving way to chaos in the form of the seasons.
It has grown more dangerous and unpredictable, storms of rain and ice becoming familiar dangers. The south grows hotter every year and with it come further advances by the vast Dune Sea. Incessant rain comes down along the eastern coast and great waves of wind whip across the highlands in the west.

Heart of the World
At the very centre of the world, or so the old storytellers claim, lies the red city Uranon. The origin and very core of the Empire, it is the greatest city mankind has ever built, monument to the glory of the Uranians and the horrors of their reign.
You packed a lot of detail into a very nice presentation! Well done. Thanks for sharing!
