Nasmington

The country of Nasmington is one of hilly plains, that are tunneled in by the Nasming tribes.

The Nasming tribes have a hierarchical structure similar to that of ants. From a young age, every male Nasming is taught the spell Mold Earth. This spell is used by the Nasmings to dig enormous tunnel systems through their hilly homes. Very few male Nasmings are taught anything other than Mold Earth and Magic Stone (for defending the Queen). Female Nasmings, on the other hand, especially Queens, are typically taught magic of all kinds, as well as physical combat.
The Queen of a given Nasming tribe is the woman who is the best fighter. This is proven by her ability to defeat challengers to her throne in a no-holds-barred battle. When the Queen dies, a tournament is proclaimed. Any woman who is over 14 may enter, no matter the tribe, and the winner becomes the new Queen.
In Nasming, like in anthills, Women overall dominate society. Women are often given luxury, make decisions, and learn advanced skills, while men do most of the work excavating the tunnels and fighting enemies en masse with Magic Stone. The exception is in some tribes, however, in which the Queen murders all female children, so as not to be challenged.
