They run monastic charitable organisations, giving to the needy while spreading the Lost Society's gospel - there is no deity worthy of devotion.
Mistral was born into the family and committed to the cause with zeal as soon as he was old enough to contribute. His family connections automatically allowed entry into the Society, but his meteoric rise to Grand Master was his own.
