Ashwork Smithy Ruins

A few years ago, the Ashwork Smithy was an ugly scar on the face of the city, this former fortress of the Cult of Smoke had lied derelict for an age. Blasted and ruined, the residual magics within the structure were powerful enough to resist any attempt to further reduce it. What powers could have damaged it in the first place are unknown, and probably best forgotten. They said that the desperate and destitute souls who dwell in its lower levels are eventually driven mad by the strange, twisted, creeping architecture.
Through the works of several houses, orders and other well meaning folks of Ur, The Ashwork Smithy has been partially cleaned up and the forges relit. The Guild of Smoke now once again has weapons and armor coming off the forges for those that can afford it. While the majority of the fortress is still buried in rubble and is remarkably dangerous to be around during the reclaiming of it, the orders of Ur consider it a victory to have even as much as is working back up and running again.
Of course, the rumors persist of those that have been driven mad by the magic or spirits of the Ashwork Smithy. And who knows what is to be found in the lower levels of the ruins that still aren't unearthed.
