Empress Shimi'Badadi
Empress Shimi'Badadi is ruler of the Al'Badadi Empire, heir to the legacy of Tuk'Badad and extremely powerful sorceress in her own right.
Born in 312 A.E, Shimi inherited the throne from her ailing father at age 10. Her first official act as head of state was to execute the entire corrupt council of advisors who had worked for her father, blaming their poisonous words for his refusal to see a healer. Proving herself to be a person worth taking seriously, she began to root out corruption within the empires' administration, removing governors and officials down to tax collectors and mayors. This won her the popular support of many, who had suffered under the lax oversight of the previous rulers. With this popular backing, she has been able to push through many reforms, with the hopes of stemming the empire's hemorrhaging.
Her sights appear to be set on restoring the Al'Badadi Empire to its former glory. In recent decades, she has been delving deep into the history of her people. Her belief is that some long forgotten secret may yet hold the key to their return to prominence. There are rumors as well that she has been in contact with powerful necromancers and blood-mages but to what ends remains to be seen.
