Uplink

Uplink is a VR technology released in 2195. Created by Mercurian inventor Rodrick Fraser, head of Pix Systems. It enables users to connect to a multiverse hub and aims to be more immersive than its precursors. It also aims to support longer usage than before, diminishing the need to take breaks.
It contains universes for reality, as well as several different fictional universes and game universes. Users are able to request new universes, create their own avatars using even more options than before, as well as attend schooling and social events all within the Uplink
Users purchase an Uplink Connector, VR bodysuit and VR chair and then can choose a preferred language, although it defaults to Unilang. Users can add friends, family and other groups, for example, teachers can add their classes and employees can add collegues.
Users have a user ID and a customisable username. Usernames, unlike previous technology, can be duplicated due to the separate ID's.
