Aino (Ay-no)

Aino is a large floating town on Venus, generally located east of Tan Yondozo and south of Ma Shouzen. It's famous for it's redlight district, known as 'Cloud Nine' which is one of the largest in the solar system.

Aino is slated to become the capital city of an area of Venus.

Industry & Trade

Aino has a flourishing creative industry, with several popular singers hailing from the town. For example, the singer AJ in the Sky, known around the solar system for his song 'Love on Venus' was born and still lives in Aino.

Infrastructure

Aino consists of nine floating platforms, which are some of the largest on Venus. The platforms are kept together with a tether, and people move between the nine platforms via airbuses. 
The town also utilises huge air filtration units to convert the air around it to breathable oxygen without neessitating the use of domes, which it is able to do due to it's floating nature.

History

Founded in 2141, Aino is one of the first floating settlements on Venus.

Tourism

Aino is popular with tourists for several reasons. Firstly, the town's position floating above the Venusian atmosphere offers a unique experience of Venus, where the population and any visitors are able to breathe freely, due to the altitude situating the town above the Venusian cloud cover. 
The second aspect that draws tourism is Cloud Nine, a massive red lights district. This area is incredibly popular, with many people coming to Aino for the express purpose of visiting Cloud Nine.
However, some tourists tend to assume that the entire town is like Cloud Nine, leading to several residents complaining of having to fend off tourists who are assuming that the entire town's population wants to get busy with them, with this assumtion beoming the subject of the song 'Love on Venus'

Travel agents are therefore being asked to inform customers that Aino is not a place where you can just ask random strangers to accompany you, outside of Cloud Nine.
