New Year's Resolution 2025
This year, I'm looking into what I can learn from others when it comes to explaining Rituals/Traditions.
Unveiled is a world rich on rituals and traditions from many sources:
The real world that we know and all custom in it.
The historical customs of the world revisited by how they are still in use by the fey folk.
The new customs that come from the clash between these two people.
Especially interesting is the experience of Alea's Circle as Changelings born from one set of customs, but later raised with another, and the new traditions they make themselves.
From looking through other articles on traditions, I have understood the following:
I'll look more into this another day, but that's quite a list of ways to improve my own work already, and I'm happy I did this.

From looking through other articles on traditions, I have understood the following:
- Stay away from long paragraphs with no boxes or pictures to break the long read.
- In general, I should add more pictures and variations to simple text.
- Quotes work well for this too.
- As do excerpts of texts from people who have observed the ritual.
- Putting in a story or anecdote to explain the origin or an example of the tradition works wonders.
- When applicable, adding in lyrics of a song or a poem is a really great addition.
- As is short detailed descriptions of how to prepare elements of the tradition - or following elements of it:
- Putting in a recipe for a related cake or ornament for example.
- One example had character commentary along the page, and I loved that. Might be fitting for me to make use of in general as well.
I'll look more into this another day, but that's quite a list of ways to improve my own work already, and I'm happy I did this.
