An October Hike #23: Going Back to Rust?

Maybe that's what I should talk to him about. That yesterday was just that - yesterday. Well, it's not like I said anything that would suggest otherwise. If anything I could just say my goodbyes at the finish line, leave and probably never see him again anyway - Go back to rust in Evergreen, as Zeldine would call it. Besides, he probably has a life of his own to go back to anyway - Traveling abroad and other human luxuries they take for granted.

Okay, maybe - just maybe - I should put in a ticket. Just let him know that if he arranges another hike, I'd be interested. Maybe that could work. Yes, that is it: An arrangement with no promises - no introductions or intrusions - just two fellow nature enthusiasts being... natural.
I speed up a bit to close the gap to him, get it out while it's fresh in my mind.
