Marabron Bridge Building / Landmark in Untitled Fantasy World | World Anvil

Marabron Bridge

Describe a religious monument, built or natural people of your world with to visit at least once in their lifetime   There are no seams in the stone where the block was fitted together. No material to bind the stone, no encasement to hide the seams. The stone figures who prayed over the structure and disappeared into the poison fog.   People still wish to visit the shores of The Poison Sea and gaze on at the bridge that Peter the First Son built. They had not known what to call it. They did not know if it was a peer at first or if it was a bridge. They could not see the end of it and no one had gone to see where it went, none except Peter. Some went close, but the stench of the sea there stopped them before they got too close. Some called it the Barren Bridge, those who lived close by called it the abandoned bridge. The Son's of Judas  called it the Idol Bridge for some who came there to meditate, they called idol worshipers. But those in the castle on the hill called it Dunlants Bridge because of the land that stood between the mountains and the sea, but the witches and the seers, they called it Marabron Bridge for they could see what would come from beyond it.   That was long ago, but there are still many who call it by those names, there are few who remember its true name, and fewer still who dare to speak it. But those who have seen what is to be cannot forget.   Some still remember Peter and some, the trouble that followed him, but none has seen if the trouble will come from him or his line for how can a man, dead a thousand years, bring trouble to the world.
