vampire

vampires are a long standing species who are made of every and all races. from humans to Tieflings, orcs to elves.
the difference between the vampires from the stories and the real things is as different as they are similar. for instance vampires have difficulty crossing water and stabbing them with a stake is one of the only ways to truly incapacitate them. but, unlike there storied counterparts they do not die in the sunlight, instead, this only weakens them to a more mortal state.
Most vampires are as reasonable as any other race, even those who are of truly ancient age do not hold malice in their hearts for those that are living, in fact many have symbiotic relationship with mortals. as such they will protect anyone who they consider under there protection.
But, in the end, no matter what. vampires still need blood to survive, like mortals eat and drink, vampires must feed. on average a vampire must consume at least 1 pint of blood, this will deal with any adverse effects form lack of sustenance. it is also speculated that most vampires need at least 2 pints of mortal blood to feel truly satisfied, as a mortal would feel after a good meal.
