Emissarius
An Emissarius (pl. emissarii) is a spy the Mala utilize in order to infiltrate United Britannia and Hibernia. Emissarii are assigned multiple locations in UBH and have a myriad of different duties. Most serve terms of at least ten years, although many decide to complete more than one term. The Emissarii are an informal division of the Imperium.
Career
Qualifications
An Emissarius is handpicked by the Imperium. At about age 11, the Mala undergo a battery of examinations to determine their career; students with certain grades and social abilities are handpicked by teachers to complete the Emissarii examination. If the student scores well on the examination, they attend Emissarii training for around 5 years, or until they are deemed ready. About half of those chosen to attend training do not complete it.

Emissarii are well-compensated.
Other Benefits
An emissarii is highly regarded amongst the Mala: they have the ability to live amongst those they perceive as inferior to them in order to save their people. Families who have Emissarii in their ranks are favorably looked upon.
