Ezreal Killian

The divine of Caledor, the God-King of Humanity - Ezreal.

King Ezreal Killian (a.k.a. God-King, Ezreal of Flame and Light)

Humanities original King of Caledor was a man of great power and wisdom. Capable of magic that could alter reality, build castles in an instant or even decimate an entire region, Ezreal Killian was believed to be the pinnacle of power that any mortal man could achieve. Winning impossible wars. Discovering new magic. Starting a new age. Ascending to Godhood. Ezreal was a man of many feats and accomplishments, some near implausible to believe yet so endearing to the mind. Every man, woman and childof the Kingdom of Caledor has known his name in the past and will know his name in the centuries to come.

Divine Domains

The God-King Ezreal is believed to have laid his domain in the realms of Fire and Light. But he is said to judge those of honor and trustworthiness, damning those whom use lies and deception to pave their way through life.

Holy Books & Codes

The Tome of Ezreal - a book adopted by the Church of Ezreal. Discovered by the early Kings of Caledor, it was one of few journals that Ezreal ever wrote. Given to the Church of Ezreal, they analyzed it and adopted it into tenet and guiding form.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Ezreal's symbol is often associated with a Phoenix flying in front of a shining sun, but often members of the Church will guild their weapons and armor with a single flame. Standard bearers will usually use the original symbol.

Holidays

The Day of Ascension - Followers of the Church will often make a pilgrimage to King's Square on the day of Ezreal's ascension to sing his praise and worship is divinity. Often people will light hundreds of torches in the morning and night, while eating a large feast in the middle of the day. Recognized by the entirety of the kingdom, most citizens excuse themselves from work to honor this day.

Physical Description

Body Features

Ezreal is depicted to have a golden or bronze skin tone that gleans in the light, and a build that would make even a barbarian jealous. Standing at almost seven feet tall, he is a titan of a being fit to challenge all. His eyes are colored golden but also glow a blinding light as he watches over all he protects. He is often shown to have long, flowing, silver hair that rests upon his shoulders.

Facial Features

Similar to a thunder god of another pantheon, Ezreal is shown to have a long silver beard that rests down to his chest. Present on his left eye is a scar given to him by an Orc Chieftain in the old war.

Special abilities

Ezreal is known to have mastered all mortal magic and even more. As far as anyone knows, he can summon creatures from the Elemental Plane of Fire, manipulate its power and then control the weather of an entire country. Some say that he even commanded the power of a Celestial before he ever ascended to Godhood.

Apparel & Accessories

No matter the occasion Ezreal is shown to be wearing his Divine Armor, a hulking mass of golden metal alloy that protects every portion of his body, save the lack of helmet that allows his face to be shown. On his left arm he wears a large clawed gauntlet that is said to have the power to pierce the hide of a dragon, imbued with magic power comparable to that of the strongest mages. In his right arm he holds his sword God Slayer, a flaming sword fabled to be able to raze castled to the ground. And finally his white, silken cape that flows behind him wherever he roams.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Aside from creating the Kingdom of Caledor, Ezreal is fabled to have discovered magic greater than that of the 9th tier. This is assumed due to the fact that he ascended into Godhood, power that does not only alter reality in the material plane, but defies that of physical and magical law. Before this, though, he used the power of his understanding of magic to accelerate humanities technological progress. Although he did not harness the power of coal or steam power, he managed to teach mankind to use magic as a source of power that could create constructs meant for transportation or commodity.   His guidance would allow man to develop the first tram ways and roads powered by magic alone, maintenance requiring only magical attunement from trained mages. These developments would allow humans to focus their attention on things like ease of life, slowly moving away from the agricultural lifestyle and further into technological development. This, of course, would bode well for neighboring countries as opportunities of trade would arise.   The First Flame - One of the many reasons why Ezreal was given the name "Ezreal of the Flame" was because of his ability to summon a Phoenix. Not a lesser elemental like the Phoenix Kin, but an entire living Phoenix. Towards the peak of Ezreal's reign, he wished to show his subjects the fruits of his labor. Gathering everyone into the King's Square, Ezreal summoned a mighty Phoenix into the air and had it soar into the sky before he had it float in front of him, allowing him to mount it and ride it in a glorious display of power.   As for his nickname, Ezreal of Light, the Kingdom of Caledor was suffering a year long season of rain. For months on end rain would poor on top of Caledor without relent, flooding the streets and destroying homes. Feeling the pain of his subjects, Ezreal summoned his power to change the weather of the entire country in one fell swoop. In only moments, the sun burst through the dark clouds and dispelled the heavy rain, bright light shining upon the kingdom for the first time. The people of Caledor sung his praise for the years to follow. Today the Church of Ezreal is capable of emulating the same magical effect, but only if the Cathedrals present in each Fortress City participate in one large, organized mass ritual that takes days to cast. Even then, the change in weather may not cover the entirety of the country.   God Slayer - One of the last marvels that Ezreal made reality was his creation of his mighty sword: God Slayer. After spending an entire month in a forge, accompanied by both mage and smith, he forged one of the greatest weapons Unicorta had ever seen, demanding the respect of even the Conglomerate's greatest smiths. Imbued with magic that can summon flame and draw power from the Elemental Plane of Fire, God Slayer is aptly named as it is capable of giving its wielder the power to challenge the heavens.   Ezreal's Divine Plate - Only the grandest armor is capable of protecting the King of Caledor. Although he himself did not create the armor, Ezreal requested that the Dwarves of Sagesh make him armor that would suit only him. With great respect towards him, the Dwarves spent three months designing and forging what would be known as the first Divine Plate, one of few legendary items to exist in Unicorta. Using a Gold, Steel and Mithril alloy (a concoction that no Clan in Sagesh is willing to give up), they created plate armor that only Ezreal would be capable of wearing. After receiving it, Ezreal warded it with runes and glyphs that would make him unstoppable on the battlefield. For some reason, however, when Ezreal rose into the heavens, he was seen not wearing his armor.

Taboos

The only known punishments the divine Ezreal is known to have vocalized was his dislike of messing with the natural order (ironic as it sounds). Creating abominations, raising the dead, summoning dark magics - these are the things that Ezreal hates most. It is rumored by many that the primary reason Ezreal ascended was not really to protect humanity, but to rid the world of this darkness. Something only a God would be capable of doing.   Other things Ezreal is rumored to hate is distrust - a God of honor, Ezreal believes that lies and deception are the folly of mankind and looks down upon those that would break the trust of his fellow brethren, human or not.

Personality Characteristics

Vices & Personality flaws

The only known "flaw" that Ezreal was known to have was his impulsive nature. Rather than taking the time to plan things and strategize his options, Ezreal would fly immediately into action without a second though. This was especially true if his people were in danger. The only reason, however, he was capable of ever getting away with this was due to his raw power - there was no obstacle he couldn't overcome.

Like any other man or woman, Ezreal was born amongst a nomadic tribe of Old Caledor. No prophecy was told. No dream was had. Only the sheer willpower of a single man, destined for greatness.
Circumstances of Death
As far as anyone knows, Ezreal Killian never truly died. The witnesses of his ascension (215 OE) claimed that he simply rose into the heavens and left humanity to their own devices, but scholars today believe otherwise.
