Unicorta

Welcome to Unicorta - a world bound by magical laws ordained by the divine Gods, where creatures may be found high and low, but undetermined if they are friend or foe. It is a place where righteous warriors fight in the name of a King long dead and mages seek the answers of magic used in the past. It is a world that has a bright and luscious surface muddied by the vanity and machinations of devious minded mortals. Unicorta is a world sandwiched between the realms of Heaven and Hell with many different planes of existence in between. A world that is currently at peace but under threat of powers beyond its own realm - powers that may threaten every mortal life in this plane of existence.   Have your adventures take place on the main continent of Kyrased, to the plains of the north or the forests of the west to find adventure in all the right places. From cities mounted on the backs of gargantuan tortoises to the hidden denizens of the forest, there is a story for any kind of adventurer. The Five Kingdoms of Unicorta each offer a different experience from each other, both politically and environmentally. To the north and south lie kingdoms dominated by humans but operating under vastly different philosophies - where one believes in a world of people free to choose their fates, the other demands the complete subservience of their people either by fear or slavery. Likewise, the east and west are polar opposites. Where the east is a desert dominated by tribal Dragonborn, the west is a luscious forest defended by Elves, Gnomes and Halflings. But Kyrased isn't the only inhabited land, travel to the seas and visit the Dragon Republic for an oriental experience.   Do not be fooled, however, as these countries do not co-exist in pure harmony. Behind their alliances and pacts lie a hidden motivation - a pursuit of the truth. Long ago this world was inhabited by an ancient civilization that was so advanced, so magically apt that it was capable of instilling sentient life into artificially made men. To some, the secrets of their ancient magic is the key to solving the problems of the modern world. To others, it may be the answer to asserting complete and utter domination over the world. But everyone in Unicorta will unanimously agree - the ancients were a powerful race. From uncovering ancient texts to discovering unearthed relics, every country is in pursuit of even an inkling of power that the civilizations of old once had.   But ultimately, this serves nothing more as a distraction for the King of Hell, Asmodeus. Supernatural occurrences have been appearing all over the world, some seemingly harmless, others ending in indiscriminate blood shed. After having been imprisoned for aeons, it seems as though the King of Hell has had enough. Ever so slowly, he creeps upon the mortal realm. But to what end?
