A type of lichen found in dark damp places rich in magic. Witch's coral has been used over the years as spell components and even spell focus' for those more in tune with nature or spirits. Often found in shoreline caves, damp caves, and even around darker wet forests, large known clusters are on the Sirens Coast and
Dul Ath Tel'nodel.
Biology
A hard tubular plant that covers a surface of damp rocks. It gathers in magic and water for nutrients to grow. While colonies are mostly the same color, they form in the color depending on the present magic. The stronger the magic, the larger and healthier the plants.
While edible the plant has a sharp bitter taste and lacks nutrients for most creatures to want to bother.
uses
While it is rarely used in normal cooking, the coral is used in several potions, using specific colors. It is also used as a focus for several types of magic users and in several magical tools.
