The Dread tiger

(a.k.a. The King of spirits)

When Saberfang arrived in the far north and taught people to connect with the spirits of the land, Many claimed a spectral Sabertooth tiger was always seen next to him. Shamans claimed to see it leading other spirits to commune with people, though non could connect to the beast. Those that tried became temporally unstable before reverting to their original race. It was quickly theorized this was the king of spirits and given the name Dread tiger, only compatible with a true king of the shifters.
Though revered by all shifters and shamans at large, The dread tiger holds special significance for those tribes in The Frozen Forest, who claim to live under the king of spirits.
