Staff of desolation
One of the six legendary focuses, the Staff of Desolation is one of the more mysterious artifacts, as it's exact origins are unknown. What is known is it was found during the slave revolts of the Rebel Age after the battle of Zezhaunth. It then disappeared as quickly, only to be spotted every few centuries in the hands of various Dryads. It once showed up in Frostmourn in the hands of a currupted druid leading an army of fungus undead.
Description
A wooden quarter staff made of twisted white elder wood tree wood, black sap trickles down the staff almost continuously, leading to sickly black puddles if left in one place too long. The black sap that pools sinks into the ground, nourishing it and encouraging plant growth. This is the secret of plant growth within the Dryad caves within Death Valley. This sap takes a more menacing quality in darker druids where it corrupts flesh instead, creating spore covered zombies. In game abilities
