Cult of Serpents
A Naga-worshiping cult found in the second half of the Blood Age it is said something awoke on the edge of the Mire, gathering Naga servants to him. These Naga made up the priesthood around this figure, and in turn, captured and charmed other 'lesser' beings to serve the cult's needs. As the cult grew four separate classes formed within it., each with its own duties, responsibilities, and beliefs.
The Priesthood
Made up of pure breed Naga, or at least those who could pass for pure blood. These saw to their 'Goddess', the being who was said to lurk at the bottom of the temple. They would perform sacrifices, bring tributes to the 'Goddess', and ruled over the cult in its name. Normally numbering around ten, they were made up of the most senior Naga in the cult. Comprising of the voice of Slazsharri, who was always female, four priests and four acolytes. It should be noted that a few members who weren't pure-blooded and who went before The Goddess were never seen again. The Blesseded ones
This was the Naga, Half Naga, and snake-like beings of the cult. Thought to be blessed by Slazsharri and so the chosen people, this group ruled the cult in all but name. Deciding duties, what to do with various members of the lower classes, and even how resources were divided up. Though this clan did conduct sacrifices, they were permitted to be present for them. It was this class that also conducted raids on ships to acquire prisoners. The Faithful
These 'lesser' beings are said to have either already believed in, or converted to the cult, though others outside the cult claim their charmed to believe in the cult. They act as servants within the cult, preparing food, looking after the higher classes, and performing skilled or trusted jobs. They revere all things serpentine, almost worshipping the Blessed ones, let alone the Priesthood. Slaves
The non-believers are little more than slaves to the cult, forced to do manual labor and basic undesirable jobs, and are the ones picked for sacrifices.
