Caen (Kah)

An ancient Draconic city was built into the side of the Rivell mountains, When the slave revolts broke out, refugees used it as a sanctuary, with The Purple knights using it as a staging point. It became the base of The Purple knights with the old draconic town being renovated and brought back. It was eventually expanded as it was still used as a sanctuary in times of crisis. Built into rings going up the mountainside, each ring has a high wall protecting it with a gatehouse off to the side. This has meant the city has never fallen, though was abandoned under Phervian rule, while different rings have different social positioning, movement between them is available to anyone, within reason.

Demographics

Primary Human or dwarf heritage with a few Goliaths and other races. A large section of The Purple knights also is stationed here.

Ruled by the grand master of the purple knights.

Multi-ring walls defend the various sections of the city.

Districts

A central fortified citadel district with a palace, which includes Iti's gallery, temple to The Goddess and other old temples and several other military structures. Below is a market surrounded by a middle district. The outer ring is primarily serfs with slums outside on the valley floor with a final wall around.

Architecture

The Citidel and inner ring is the Gothic design of ancient draconic cities, while the Rivell (old Russ) architecture dominates the outer rings.
