Cloaked Ray

The cloaked ray is also known as the Cloaker or the shadow ray. This is a ray-shaped creature that can see in the dark. The monster hunts at night or in dark caves.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A giant stingray-like flying creature. It has long leathery wings that come from this body. A tail comes from the base of the body and wings. The tail is very long and has rose-like thorns on it. The tip of the tail has a scorpion-like tail tip. The head comes from the top of the body. The head has two eyes and a mouth full of sharp teeth.

Genetics and Reproduction

The cloaked ray reproduces through internal fertilization. The female will then lay the eggs in a nest. She will then passively guard the nest until the eggs hatch. She will then leave the young to take care of themselves.

Growth Rate & Stages

After hatching the rays will have to take care of themselves. The young will fight to survive by any means. The young rays will even eat their siblings. As these rays get older they will start to be able to fly through the sky more easily. Their tails will also get longs as they age. When the ray is fully grown the tail will start to have thorny tails.

Ecology and Habitats

The cloaked ray lives in dark caves and deep forest areas. This shadowy monster glides from treetops and higher dark caves. While looking at a shadow it will surprise its foes and eat them. It will then use its tail to scare off other critters.
